The Level II seminars will continue to be held regularly each year in Warszawa. These have been very popular for the doctors because they are able to further their orthodontic education by learning new orthodontic technics and as well they can consult with Dr. Brown and his team for advice on their own personal cases. Level II is a complete 4 times 2-day program over 2 years/seasons.

Session 4:  March 15, 16 (Sat, Sun) 2025    

Session 1:  November 22, 23 (Sat, Sun) 2025   

Session 2:  To be announced for March (Sat, Sun) 2026

Session 3:   To be announced for November (Sat, Sun) 2026

Location :  Warszawa, Poland

This  2 year course continues in the same course rotation every 2 years. These sessions can be taken/followed in any order.

The contents of the sessions can be modified to include other various orthodontic subjects. 

Location: all courses will be held in Warszawa

Times of lectures: 

Day I: Lecture 9:30 to 16:30 (includes lunch and a coffee break).  Consultations: 16:30 to 17:30 (participants can ask about their personal cases).

Day 2: 9:00 to 16:00; 16:00 to 17:00 (participants can ask about their personal cases).

Session 4:  March 14, 15 (Fri & Sat) 2025  Warsaw 

Lectures:

Adult and adolescent  orthodontic treatments, extraction and non-extraction

Day 1    

Lecture:

From 9:30am to 1pm

Adult orthodontic treatments 

  • Impacted teeth: treatment of impacted canines and premolars.
  • Adult orthodontics: Diagnostic analysis, treatment planning and mechanical treatment planning of different types of adult orthodontic patients with the goal of beautiful orthodontic and esthetic results.
  • Non-extraction and extraction cases
  • Orthodontic preparation of the patient for prosthetics and Esthetic Restorations
  • Using mini-screws in complicated situations.

Lecture:

From 2pm to 4:30pm

Cleft lip and cleft palate: orthodontic and surgical treatment considerations

  • Cleft Patient treatment planning
  • Sequence of orthodontic/orthopedic and surgical treatment for cleft Patients.

Periodontics and orthodontics

  • Bilaminar gingival graft: Subepithelial connective tissue graft – a mucogingival grafting procedure developed to cover denuded root surfaces (gingival recession).
  • Gingivectiomy/gingivoplasty – gingival contouring, gingival sculpting
  • Osseous surgery – apically repositioned flaps and osseous recontouring

Day 2

Clear Aligner systems: how the system works; understanding orthodontics before starting CA cases.

 CLI and CLII Treatment for Young Patients and Adults

Day 2 From 9am to 4pm   4:00 to 5:00pm: Personal Consultations with course participants). There will be a workshop on mini-screw placement on Day 2 at 3pm

Day 1 and Day 2

Lecture:

CLI and CLII Treatment for Young Patients and Adults

Diagnostic analysis, treatment planning and mechanical treatment planning of different types of CLI and CLII orthodontic patients with the goal of beautiful orthodontic and esthetic results.

Clinical case presentations:

The clinical cases presented will demonstrate the time-tested, systematic, logical and time saving approach to patient treatment using Dr. Brown’s system of SWA orthodontics.

Young patients:

Mixed dentition and adolescent ages, CLI and CLII 

  • Deep bite and open-bite cases will be examined.
  • There is often a misunderstanding about when it is best to use the HA NiTi Transpalatal Expander/Rotator. There will be detailed explanations of this with texts and clinical cases demonstrating when these appliances are best used and when they are not necessary.
  • Bracketing techniques/schemes used for deep and open bite cases.

Adult patients:

  • The theme will be to demonstrate “what are the limits for a treatment non-extraction, non-surgical”?
  • Use of the HA NiTi transpalatal Expander/Molar Rotator in adult treatments.

Day 2 (cont)

Workshop, video and lecture:

  • Mini-screw placement: the participants will place a mini-screw on the typodont. Each participant should bring their typodont.

CLIII Treatments for Young Patients and Adults

 Day 1 From 9:30am to 4:30pm   4:30 to 5:30pm: Personal Consultations with course participants) 

Day 2 From 9am to 4pm  4:00 to 5:00pm: Personal Consultations with course participants). There will be a workshop on the adjusting of the 19x25 steel wire.

Day 1 and 2 

Lecture:

Diagnostic analysis, treatment planning and mechanical treatment planning of different types of CLIII orthodontic patients with the goal of beautiful orthodontic and esthetic results.

Clinical case presentations by Dr. Brown:

Young patients: Mixed dentition and adolescent ages with CLIII malocclusions.

  • Treatment of CLIII skeletal and dental malocclusions.
  • There is often a misunderstanding by doctors about when it is best to use the HA NiTi Transpalatal Expander/Molar Rotator. There will be detailed explanations of CLIII clinical cases demonstrating when these appliances are best used and when they are not necessary.

CLIII treatment for Adults

  • There are always diagnostic questions as to: what are the limits for a treatment non-extraction, non-surgical?
  • Use of the HA NiTi transpalatal Expander/Molar Rotator in adult CLIII treatments.

Workshop demonstration and review: the participants will adjust the 19x25 steel “working wire”: the accentuated curve; additional crown torque (labial and lingual). Participants should bring their own instruments and typodont.

From 4:30pm to 5:30pm: personal consultations with course participants 

Day 2

Lecture:

Morning from 9am to 1pm

Treatment therapy for Temporo-Mandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD).

  • TMD Therapy on patients who have TMD and wish to have orthodontic treatment.
  • Making the correct clinical decision: “Differential Diagnosis of TMD”
  • Splint/Orthotic therapy: Dr. Brown will discuss splint therapy that he has used successfully over many years.
  • Orthodontic treatment combined with Orthotics/Splint Therapy – how to “manage” and “treat” these delicate cases.
  • Prognosis and long term management. 
  • Surgical interventions: arthroscopy, arthroplasty, total joint replacement and others.
  • Physio-therapy and acupressure applications that can be done in the dental office. 

Clinical case presentations and lecture by Dr. Brown 

Afternoon from 2pm to 4pm

  • Use of Corticotomy – examination of various “types” of corticotomy including using Platelet Rich Factor Graft for bone augmentation
  • Corticotomy and “Rapid Orthodontics”an overview of various surgical techniques combined with orthodontics that are proposed for so called “Rapid Orthodontics”.
  • What is so called “6 month orthodontics”? (Incomplete orthodontics)
